Sheldon Hamblin
Born and raised right here in the Basin, Sheldon Hamblin has deep roots in this community. After his first job mowing lawns at age 15, Sheldon pursued his passion for the land by earning both a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop and Soil Science and a Master’s Degree in Plant and Soil Science. His graduate research focused on water efficiency specifically in regenerative farming practices, reflecting his commitment to sustainable land management. While in school Sheldon worked for a landscape company and quickly fell in love with manicuring lawns and the straight grass lines and crisp edges, not to mention his dream lawn mower: the Walker.
Where it began
It all began with a basement flood! When a family member had a sprinkler pipe break and they weren’t sure who to call, Sheldon was right there to save the day! And he loved doing it.
This came at a time when his current career needed to change, and so with his now available time he knew he wanted to pursue something that brought him joy and helped the community.
